Okay, so how do I know what music lessons I need?
If you are uncertain about where to start, then you should sign up for a FREE private lesson with your main instrument of choice. This will allow us to assess your goals and skills for the right instruction and work with your schedule and budget (starting as low as $70/mo) so you can achieve maximum results quickly. Whether it’s Blues, Rock, Jazz, Bosa, Classical, Gospel, R&B, Latin, Pop, or Metal; you will find the perfect match for level. We welcome you to join hundreds of successful students and families in our Colorado Springs studios since 2005.
What will you learn in private lessons?
No matter the instrument: guitar lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, drum lessons, violin lessons... you will achieve a foundation of technique, theory, ear training, and listening skills. While learning the fundamentals, we also guide and encourage you to start working with some of your favorite songs, some of our prepared repertoire, and even start composing your own original works. We will guide you to the results you want based on your goals.
What makes Lucci Music stand out?
We take pride in our students' achievements; from touring in other states, acceptance into music colleges and technical schools, to making the Colorado All-state, All-city, and high school jazz bands. How do we do it? We mentor our students to be the best they can be, and even better than us. You won't find us teaching from tabs or song after song. Instead we teach you how to teach yourself. With your investment at Lucci Music you will learn the theory, ear-training, chordal progressions, scales, and the foundation behind the songs you love to play.

Classes: Jazz Music, Band Performance
Music director, studio musician, and performer: Lucci played upright bass for the Alaska Wind Ensemble, studied music at UAF, and has recorded guitar tracks for 2 chart topping singles. He has toured the world as a musician and missionary alongside influential leaders such as Jude Del Hierro (Vineyard), Dr. James Dobson, and Dr. Mike Brown. Currently he is a studio musician for Selah studios, director of Lucci Music Band, and has taught music classes and guitar for over 10 years.
Drum Lessons, Violin Lessons, Fiddle Lessons
Classes: Trap Set (Drums) & Rhythm
Trained on multiple instruments from a young age, Runyan is an exceptional musician, song writer, and performance award winner. As a professional musician, He has performed for thousands at “Church on the Rock” in San Diego, California on drums, piano, and violin. Runyan currently is a studio and session drummer and has been teaching drum lessons and violin lessons full time since 2004. He currently performs on drums with Lucci Music Band.
Bass Lessons
Classes: Advanced Music Theory
As one of the most respected studio musicians in Western Texas, Mendoza has experience in all styles of music and all types of basses, including upright, fretless, and 5-string. Mendoza currently tours with The Desperation Band and has a history of leading youth worship ministries. After moving to Colorado and graduating from the New Life School of Worship with a four star “outstanding” recommendation, he continually studies music, and is a studio musician in the Springs. Mendoza is ready to teach bass students at any skill level, and looks forward to helping his students reach their musical goals.

Classes: Jingles to Jams - Life of Music
With a BA from Texas A&M, Couch understands that music is a means of unpacking the creative expression of people, and has the capacity to communicate feelings, desires, and meaning in a way that is paramount to so many other forms of communication. For this reason, Couch enjoys the process of helping new, intermediate, or advanced players progress in their ability. Couch has toured and taught all over the world; including Amsterdam, Germany, Spain, China, Hong Kong, Morocco, Mexico, and across the United States. He has also taught for the New Life School of Worship and played an integral part in the development and growth of the Mill.
Piano Lessons, Keys, B3
Classes: Composition & Creative Writing
Nico Perez is a graduate of School of worship at New life church, And now serves as a piano player and worship leader in many of the services including _tag, Sunday mornings and nights, and the furnace. He is also the keys player for the Desperation band and also his own band Cry for Pluto.Nico has traveled the nation on tours playing music for conferences and much more. Nico brings a contemporary feel to his teaching and music, and looks forward to teaching his students the fundamentals of theory, composing, effects, and sight-reading.

Classes: Orchestra & Conducting
Trained as a multi-instrumentalist since five, Jones is a talented pianist, string player, and vocalist. She has played with the Missouri State University Symphony for six years and has continued to write and compose with her own band. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in piano at Missouri State University. She also traveled through different places in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean learning and observing many different styles of world music. Jones is excited about sharing her knowledge of music with the students of Lucci Music.
Classes: Studio Recording/Sound Engineering
Tamarez has been nominated for Grammy awards and has produced over 50 recording projects. He has directed concerts in Madison Square Garden, Renaissance Theater, Symphony Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the United Palace, among many others. He has worked and continues to produce and record works for some of the top internationally known artists. Tamarez owns Selah Music, which became one of the most sought-after recording studios in the New York area and is still to this day, even with it's current relocation to Colorado Springs.
Voice Lessons
Classes: Music Theater
A Colorado native, DaNia Mortimer has been performing and teaching in the Denver area for the past 12 years. She graduated from Colorado Christian University where she received dual bachelor degrees; Music in Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Music. She has been fortunate enough to teach voice and theatre as well as perform professionally in Denver Area theatres and most recently leading worship at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs. Mortimer was also a missionary in Lima and Cusco, Peru, leading worship and drama teams. She loves sharing her passion for music, music education, and vocal health with students all ages and styles.
